RED DRESS Project is held all across Canada on May 5th. Check out the Ralph Connor outdoor display starting May 3, weather permitting.
The RED DRESS Project (a.k.a. REDress) began as an art installation by Métis artist Jamie Black. It has since been replicated in communities across Canada. The empty red dresses are meant to signify the loss of thousands of Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit, lesbian, gay, trans, bisexual, queer, intersex and asexual people over the past 40 years to colonial violence.
