Evensong Resumes Wed Sept 22nd

Evensong at the Equinox, Sept. 22, 7:15 PM

The autumn equinox…
a time when the sun rests above the equator,
and day and night are divided equally.
It heralds a season filled with change, celebrates the harvest,
and ushers in the brilliant beauty of death.
Autumn is a season of transition…
We are invited to rest into its mystery.
~ Christine Valters Paintner, Abbey of the Arts
Let evening come.
…Let the stars appear
and the moon disclose her silver horn.
Let the fox go back to its sandy den.
Let the wind die down…
Let evening come.
Let it come, as it will, and don’t
be afraid. God does not leave us
comfortless, so let evening come.
~ Jane Kenyon, Let Evening Come

Come rest in the comfort of Evensong
as we begin again in this golden season,
the Season of Creation.
With gentle words of healing,
may this midweek Sabbath
offer nourishment for body and soul.
The Zoom login is sent to everyone on our Evensong email list.
If you wish to be added to the list, contact office@ralphconnor.ca and we will add you!
