The Little White Church on Main Street, Canmore, Alberta

Thanksgiving Sunday

With regret, our in-person outdoor Thanksgiving service has been cancelled. 2m distancing is still in place

At a glance – Alberta’s plans for the summer, as the 3rd wave of COVID appears to be on the wane.  PLEASE NOTE that until stage 3, masking and 2m distancing remain in place.  For us at RCMUC that would mean no more than 18 in the sanctuary or hall at one time in stages 1 and 2 – with no handshakes or singing or coffee time after service – so we will be remaining with our current pattern of …

Orange Shirt Day

our hearts break

Our flag will be lowered for the next 215 hours, starting Sunday afternoon, in honour of the 215 children whose lives were lost at the Residential School in Kamloops.   As an Affirming Ministry of the United Church of Canada, we recommit ourselves to love, justice and reconciliation. > May 31 would be a good time for an “orange shirt day” in addition to the official orange shirt day at the end of September.
