COVID-19 adjustments at Ralph Connor United
We support all public health regulations to limit the spread of COVID-19 and are thankful for the widespread opportunity for vaccination.
All in-person Church-related gatherings were discontinued in mid-March, 2020 and we have had online services since then.
Our Ralph Connor Building Usage Guidelines (version 5 – revised on December 2, 2020 and still in place) are posted here.
We will not likely resume in-person indoor gatherings until the fall.
Sunday Worship Services are posted at the “Ralph Connor Canmore” YouTube channel – click here
Online services will remain posted for one full year – feel free to watch them at a time convenient to you!
For the duration of the Provincial Public Health Emergency, we will not be accepting new bookings for facility use.
Our Church Council re-affirmed this decision as of June 2, 2021.
Alberta’s “Reopening for summer” plans – which moved to Stage 3 on July 1, 2021- may be seen here.
The recent discoveries at the Kamloops and Marieval/Cowessess Residential Schools
remind us of the ongoing, important work of Reconciliation.
This work begins with taking seriously the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission,
which include specific Calls to the Churches.

We are not gathering for indoor, in-person Worship services until the end of the public health emergency – and will reassess it then –
but folks from the Bow Valley and beyond are invited to join us for online Worship each week,
posted every Sunday on the “Ralph Connor Canmore” YouTube channel!
Our online services continue throughout the summer.
In addition: August 1 is “Emancipation Day” in Canada. A special ecumenical worship service may be viewed here.

In the same way that Jesus reached out to all people, our faith community is called to be open and inclusive.
As congregations residing on treaty 7 lands, we continue to seek ways to be inclusive of all people of the Bow Valley,
regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age, cultural background, education level, mobility challenges… ALL people!
We are delighted that both Ralph Connor and Rundle Memorial United Church, Banff, are Affirming Ministries.

At present, Church-organized gatherings are not being held in the Church, and new rentals/user groups are not permitted. Once the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted, Ralph Connor Church will be happy to rent our space for special events or meetings.
Our indoor spaces include the Sanctuary, Gordon Hall and upstairs.
Please inquire through the office.
